On what could be considered one of the most beautiful days of summer, Sarah & Garrett tied the knot in the backyard of her father’s home.

Sarah readied at the couple’s Guilford homestead, what once was her grandparent’s abode. Her grandfather, a past worker for the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, left behind a plethora of memorabilia, a wonderful backdrop to the scene. Sarah and her two sisters, with the help of her beloved Labrador-Terrier mix Halle, donned her exquisite bridal gown from local boutique April Rose, a dress Sarah came across in her first go-around.

Her something blue, a little heart cut from mom’s sweater, kept her close by Sarah & Garrett in spirit on her big day.

The soon-to-be betrothed met for a first look at Olmstead Outlook, a tranquil river-lined walk in historic downtown. Through the trees and lush gardens, the two met and collapsed with jubilant emotion into each other’s arms. Back at pop’s home, the guests arrived for a Meet & Greet with the bride and groom, surrounded by whimsical, bright floral arrangements and décor, succulents and paperie galore. By the quiet marsh, Sarah walked down the aisle arm-in-arm with her dad and stepdad, where the couple ultimately shared their first kiss as Mr. & Mrs.
